Lessons are 45 minutes and include at least 30 minutes of mounted activities. Each rider’s lesson is tailored to his/her specific needs, interests and skill level. We utilize a variety of games, props and music to meet the rider’s therapeutic needs and, above all, have FUN!!!
Our instructors are NARHA certified and assisted by qualified, caring volunteers. Horses are chosen based on their gait, conformation and temperament that best suits the rider’s needs.
Equine Assisted Activities is an umbrella for any activity in which a horse is being used to produce therapeutic benefit to an individual. Activities such as grooming, tacking up the horse and horseback riding have been shown to provide a multitude of benefits such as:
- Improved balance, posture, trunk and motor control
- Improved hand/eye coordination, speech and listening skills
- Improved muscle relaxation and tone, stamina and flexibility
- Enhanced communication and social skills from working with the instructors/volunteers, and group lesson involvement
- Emotional bond between the horse and rider promotes love, trust, respect and responsibility
- Increased self-esteem and confidence

Sessions sold in packages of 10 @ $60 per lesson
CANCELATION POLICY
If you need to cancel, please give at least 12 hours notice, or a session fee will be charged.
